BareNote had stalled at Rs 1.4 Cr per month for two consecutive quarters on Shopify Plus. Same product line, same traffic shape. The instinct in the room was a full redesign. We argued for six small CRO tests first.
Shipped six conversion tests over 11 weeks: sticky add-to-cart on mobile PDP, bundles between PDP image and reviews, cart upsell rail ABOVE the checkout button, visible free-ship threshold progress, Shop Pay express above the standard checkout, and a 7-day returns + free-pickup badge near the ATC button. We also pulled two tests that hurt the numbers (persistent discount bar, one-click buy that skipped the cart).
Same traffic, same channel mix, same product line. Conversion rate moved from 1.8 percent to 2.31 percent (+0.51pp). AOV moved from Rs 2,050 to Rs 2,275 (+Rs 225). Monthly revenue moved from Rs 1.42 Cr to Rs 1.95 Cr -- a 38 percent lift without a single new acquisition rupee.
