Last updated: 18 May 2026. This Cookie Policy explains how Dcrayons uses cookies and similar technologies on dcrayons.app, what each category does, and how you can control or withdraw consent. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It lets the site remember information about your visit, like your preferences, login state, or how you got there. We also use comparable technologies such as web beacons, pixels, local storage, and server-side tagging; the term "cookie" in this policy covers all of these.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the Site to function. We cannot disable these and you cannot opt out without breaking core functionality:
- Session cookies that hold form state between pages.
- Anti-forgery token (CSRF protection).
- Load balancer / CDN routing cookies (Cloudflare).
- The consent cookie that remembers your choices made in our banner.
2.2 Analytics (loaded only after consent)
Help us understand which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and where the Site is slow or broken. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and a 14-month data retention. Specific cookies:
_ga-- distinguishes unique visitors, 13 months._ga_<property-id>-- session and campaign attribution, 13 months.
2.3 Marketing and advertising (loaded only after consent)
Track conversions from paid campaigns and let us re-engage visitors who left without converting. Loaded only after you accept marketing cookies in the banner. Specific platforms we may use depending on the campaign:
- Google Ads conversion pixel (
_gcl_*) -- attribution and conversion measurement. - Meta (Facebook + Instagram) Pixel (
_fbp) -- conversion tracking. - LinkedIn Insight Tag -- B2B campaign measurement.
2.4 Preferences
Remember your language and the consent decisions you have already made so we do not show you the banner again on every visit. Lifetime: 12 months.
3. How to manage cookies
3.1 Our cookie banner
The first time you visit, we show a banner with three actions: Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Customise. Customise lets you toggle Analytics and Marketing separately. You can re-open the banner any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
3.2 Your browser
Every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the Site (forms in particular).
3.3 Do Not Track
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends GPC, we treat that as an opt-out of analytics and marketing cookies on your behalf.
4. Third-party cookies
Embedded videos (YouTube / Vimeo), social widgets, and chat tools may set their own cookies controlled by those vendors. We load them only after you accept marketing cookies. Refer to the vendor's own privacy policy for details. We do not control those cookies.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We update this policy whenever our cookie usage changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes are flagged in the banner.
